KYL is looking for baseball and softball umpires for the 2008 season. Boys and girls age 12 and up are eligible. You can choose between great pay or community service hours. See below for upcoming umpire clinic.

The clinic is mandatory if you plan on umpiring in little league baseball and softball. All head coaches and league-recognized assistant coaches are also required to attend. As stated in the updated by-laws, all head coaches and league-recognized assistant coaches will be required to umpire a minimum of 2 games this season.
The clinic will cover basic positioning of umpires. It will cover the rule book and new rules for umpires that are returning from last year. If you have a rule that your not sure on, this is the place to get it answered.
Killingworth Umpire requirements:
- Must be 12 year old or older Boy or Girls
- Must wear Killingworth umpire shirt & hat while
umpiring (supplied) - Must be at game 15 min. before start to go over
ground rules.
Killingworth Youth League will pay this year for umpires as follows:
Community service:
- 2 hours per game minor and majors
- 2 hours per game junior level
Minor – Major boys & girls game:
- $15.00 for behind the plate
- $10.00 for the field
Junior Boys – must be 15 or older:
- $35.00 per game
